Japandi design blends Japanese artistic elements with Scandinavian comfort. Both aesthetics are focused on simplicity, natural elements, comfort, and sustainability. Due to covid restrictions this story was created 100% in CGI. We focused on key elements for all the room designs applying muted colors, clean lines, natural light, greenery, uncluttered spaces, and a celebration of the indoor/outdoor lifestyle.

For this story our aim was to give your home & life a luxe refresh with vintage-inspired furnishings & glam accents—but updating the look with contemporary patterns, lighter finishes, and a more minimalist sensibility. With the popularity of Netflix shows like Bridgerton & The Crown, and fashion brands creating regency-style dresses and seeing an increased interest in vintage furniture for its sustainable & stylistic elements, Walmart’s vintage chic style (which ties into this with French country charm) is consistently top of their charts. After launch this Modern Regency 8-Week campaign performance exceeded all it’s targeted results.

I worked closely with the in-house creative team to create a compelling coastal style that enlivened the campaign and complemented both our photography and CGI teams. Our goal was to ensure that the spaces we showcased looked authentic and relatable for Walmart customers. To accomplish this, we carefully curated a selection of organic materials, incorporating iridescent finishes and the rising trend of imperfect rounded edges. As the lead creative, I oversaw the design of all deliverables, including landing pages, animations, traffic drivers, and paid social media content.

As younger generations prepare to set off on their own, they're finding design inspiration from their devices as well as a variety of iconic design moments. As the team brainstormed ideas for our campaign, I suggested incorporating elements that appeal to younger generations who are increasingly interested in design. Specifically, I suggested using grid lines, sleek, translucent surfaces, and neon lights to create a modern, futuristic feel. Moreover, I recommended the use of warmer neutrals, pastels, and teals to create gender-fluid spaces that appeal to everyone. I believe that these color schemes are more inclusive and welcoming than traditional colors.

This marketing campaign was a collaborative effort between myself and the creative team. We worked closely with a skilled photographer, art directors, and CGI team to create a stunning set of images that capture the essence of a newfound connection with nature and the environment. In a post-pandemic world, consumers are drawn to the outdoors, fresh air, and sustainable living. As a result, simple and timeless materials have taken center stage, with longevity and sustainability being key factors in home and furnishings choices. This Holiday aesthetic was heavily influenced by Scandinavian and Eastern European craftsmanship, with a renewed interest in intricate details.

A magpie mix of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Renewed vintage and iconic items become staples within interiors to maintain a timelessness and provide longevity to items, without sacrificing personal style. Retro decor becomes increasingly important as “old” becomes “new” with renewed interest in retro, reclaimed vintage, DIY and personalization.

The magpie mix of the 50s, 60s and 70s continues from the spring campaign. Home continues to be a space of joy, thus expressive colors and patterns are key to maintain a lively aesthetic where self-expression flows freely – and is a pathway to escapism at home.

The retro decor trend from spring and summer carries over to fall with a nostalgic nod to mid-century modern & 70s style. A palette of rich, organic tones with accents of moody blues, combine with natural motifs, like leafy plants and mushroom lamps, to create a space that is both comforting & effortless. Low-slung furniture, tactile textures & botanic prints intermingle with curved edges to elicit a warm, cocooning atmosphere that brings the outdoors in & supports wellness & ease.

For this campaign, we developed a new highlighted silo style which sits alongside lifestyle rooms to alert consumers to these elevated products at competitive prices. Our deliverables for this project consisted of a landing page featuring weekly flips, along with eye-catching skinny banners and traffic drivers. We included the style team’s Now Trending visual identity cues. For art direction our focus was on incorporating boho-inspired textures such as rattan and raffia to add a touch of nature, plus balanced neutral earth tones with shades of blue and okra. I collaborated on both the concept and art direction for the photo-shoots, and worked closely with our in-house CGI team to bring these designs to life.
